Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
It's much later than you think.

Time Warp

These days fly by on eagle wings.
When we were young, they seemed to creep.
A change has happened out in space,
and we are all in trouble deep.
 
It may be some bizarre time warp
allowed AI to change the clock,
and unaware, we hurl through space
still clinging to the sun’s third rock.
 
I've checked with all the folks I know,
and they agree and are aware,
our birthdays come more often now.
We don’t have any time to spare.

I know I shouldn't be this old.
The deed developed overnight.
I went to sleep still in my prime,
and woke with aches and failing sight.
 
So my advice to you my friend
is grab your paper, pen and ink.
You'd better finish up your book,
because it's later than you think.
