Might As Well Enjoy It

by BlueMarble

Once again it's that time of the year

Dust off your skates - their time is here.

Dig out your parka and zip it up tight,

The lake is frozen the time is right.

With figure eights we'll twirl and fall -

Laugh it off and have a ball.

The days may be short, the nights are long

Sometimes the wind blows fierce and strong

But God made a promise I hope is true -

Someday the skies will again be blue.

The birds will return from their retreat

And fill the air with their music so sweet.

Right now as we wait for that bliss filled day

We'll just sip our cocoa then go out and play.
