Longing lunatic

by Zaria Anderson

Even though it's sunny I don't feel the gift of the hot rays
I tell myself that I shouldn't care about you anyways
that I should let my memory become sun bleached
I wish you were my sun
let your flaming red harp string hair warm me up
be my suitor save me before I drown in my four prison pink walls
I should let this memory catch fire
Cupid hit me but missed his second shot
you don't even talk to me anymore
my heart begs, cries, yerns for you
in the corner of my prison cell I'll be eating the ashes of our memories
every word, every period, every comma
I don't think I can take it anymore
I'd rip my skin off and eat it for you
please please please come back
please
