“Twas the Night”

Twas that awestruck night so long ago,

Amidst the stars and moonlight glow.

That Angels sang in glorious chime,

Of the birth that would transcend time.

Man and beast all gazed at the sight

Of that wondrous star shining ever so bright.

A wee Babe in arms of Mary so sweet,

Offering her baby for the whole world to meet.

Angels and wise men and shepherds behold

The birth of the Savior that had been foretold. 

Glory to God and Peace be on earth

Were the promises made with this marvelous birth.

Twas a glorious event that night long ago...

The most bounteous blessing that God could bestow.
