All encompassing, yet not for the faint at heart

Love Is

by Nina Sexton

Sensing your touch when you are far

To feel the warmth of a heart that’s filled

Not of contempt, but acceptance and generosity

Each day, you choose me – though freckled and flawed

Basked in pleasure, your kisses wash the outside world away

Admittedly, it makes me wonder – Is there a love any stronger?

“Solid as a rock” better suited for mountains than my heart

Conquer a foundation rich with turbulence – soar through the sky

That’s when you know it’s a love to outlast – of pure gold, not rigid and cold

So, when heads collide, as all of the best do . . .

Realizing a beautiful love can never be perfection – Yuck!

I remember the warmth you bring – then, my love for you begins again
