Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted
This poem is about morning optimism and insight.

Colorado Etching

by William Knight

Morning, Puerto fuerte
I'm pleased to have you host my lethargy
This stuff always gets burned off by the time it seems to need to
Don't read too much into me, I'm only practicing today
I'm just warming up my thumbs, so to speak
For to hitch hike from agenda to river side
To acclimate into a new day skin and go diving
There's almost always treasure here
In the form of potential evidence discarded
One mans ditches are another man's riches!
Now, now, settle down
Like a cash sleeve into soft sediment Down here at the bottom of another new depth in the same old river. Would you dive for me?
Were I to have been tossed out with the Nixon maksks and 38s?
Revolver, you will become the ones you steal from
Recover, what you hardly healed from Only lovers here, in the belly of this steel drum
Petrified into one last meaningful embrace
What a chase!
What a chase.
