Anticipation of a fight
Final Stand

I stare from the top of the hill at the approaching army, their battle cries sounding through the air. I grip my sword as cold sweat drips down my forehead. I close my eyes, breathing heavily, wishing I could stop the endless pounding in my chest. I glance at the sharpened spears in the arms of our deadly opponents. This is our final stand. Defeat is not an option, retreat is not allowed. There is no other way now. I hold up my shield, staring at the approaching beady eyes of death. I raise my sword. Let's fight. . .
