I need a reset on my life.

Dead Inside

I haven’t even shut my eyes 

And it’s dark inside 

The black of my eyelids 

Spreads deeper inside 

All the way through my veins

Sometimes I wish I would die 

So in darkness I could reside 

Deep in the ground

Shut out

No sound 

No thoughts  

No lies 

No feelings inside 

Just decay 

Until the maggots 

Eat all the darkness in my veins 

Then I’ll rise 

Look at the sky 

And finally see the light of day

A friend recently said to me, I need a reset on my life.
That Is what inspired this poem.
I think we all feel like that sometimes. If only we actually had a reset button. lol
