Remembering my big brother
Waltzing Matilda
by BlueMarble
Looking back on the happiest memories in the years of my life I see my big brother Dave. dancing through the house belting out the words to Waltzing Matilda.
Dave was six years older than me and he was four years older than our sister Kathy. He was the happy spirit that kept us dancing through the cold Minnesota winters nearly three quarters of a century ago.
I don't know why it was that song or where he learned the words to it, but I still love tuning into YouTube and listening to it and when I do, I close my eyes and dance with my big brother.
You'll come a waltzing Matilda with me.
