Hidden in shadows, but whispered in silence. The sex, the drugs, the corruption and violence.
When good people get punishment, and evil doers get a reward, when it's more accepted to discuss idols than talk about being a child of the Lord.
When the innocent are murdered, defiled and terrorized, we get on our knees and beg for God's grace to arise.
Then nothing happens, and we feel abandoned and enraged,
but we're too blinded to see that we hold the keys to our own cage.
God doesn't manifest on some glowing ball of light, nor do his angels spread their wings and fly to us brightly in the night.
The gifts we are born with are all that we need. It's like growing a great oak from a tiny little seed.
We must learn to nurture, to love, and to grow, into the gifts God granted us over a millennia ago.
We must learn about life; the good and the bad, so we can better understand and appreciate what we have.
For who could know pleasure without ever experiencing pain? Who could empathize with loss, if you've only ever had something to gain?
Our suffering, our struggles, but our will to go on, is what makes us so special, and together, so very strong.
But the more we turn on each other, or don't help someone in need, the more we fall apart and are brought down to our knees.
By an illness, a sickness, a paralyzing disease, commonly known as selfishness, power and greed.
It festers deep within and eats you from the inside out. And once you cross that line, there's no turning about.
When behaviors are excused because "it's not their fault." While religion gets abused and neglects the devout.
True faith is hard to come by this day in age. But if we hold onto it together, we'll make it onto the next page.
So I beg you, I implore you, to accept this challenge. Believe in yourself and your God-given talents.
Only then can we all find our way back into the light, to the paradise we all dream of every day and night.
Believe in yourself and know you have what it takes, to spread the love and help make the world a better place.
