A valuable find ...
Unexpected treasure

“Wow! What a find!”
She signalled her partner excitedly.
“Wonderful! One person’s trash is another’s treasure. Let’s get it home quickly, before anyone else sees it.”
Lifting it delicately, he carried it home carefully for her, trying not to be embarrassed by strange looks.
His dog devoured the treasured cheese croissant found on the footpath.

Writing Prompt The story must be exactly 55 words long. There should be a title to the story and a brief description. It should have a beginning, middle and end. The end should bring home the point of the story in a humorous way. Twists that the reader doesn't see coming are encouraged. Puns and word play are often a feature in the story as well. |
