birds sport
bright flashy hues,
have moves that amuse.
Their intent is to bait and woo
pursue females to date and screw.
But sometimes vivid tints mean beware.

Snakes and frogs wear them to scare,
to tell predators : don't dare.
Best if they go elsewhere

and avoid warfare
to protect their

welfare
