inside your brilliant little mind,

lies a world I do not know.

I seek to understand and find,

the means to help you as you grow.

the stories of your knowledge deep,

of mysterious things and space,

make the memories that I'll keep,

Into my heart...a special place,

If you do struggle we may walk,

To gaze outside or stroll the hall,

To bask in silence, or to talk,

you are the one to make the call.

it's interesting how you see,

And how you think of the world too,

I hope that how you choose to be,

is to embrace the unique you.

I am a Sped paraprofessional in an elementary school. I work with a second grade boy who has autism, and Iâ??ve worked with him since kindergarten. I feel like we have special bond. This poem is for him.
