A story of growing up

My State of Confusion

by Mr. Green

My State of Confusion

A state of confusion rests upon my soul

Like a whirlwind it blows through my mind

I know not, which way to go.

Born without a father I was.

No letters, no cards, no calls,

no love, did he have time to show.

A mother who would have given her life for me.

And a father I will never know.

My future was hidden in the fog of life, you see.

I was left alone to wipe my tears away.

The man who gave me his last name,

his family tells me I don’t belong.

A mother’s family, who loved me more than I can say,

But most have passed away, to hear the angels

 heavenly songs.

A state of confusion rests upon my soul

Where do I belong

Where will I go.

It's been a while since I posted anything, thought I would post this little poem. Not that I am any good at poetry, but I will keep trying.
