Experiencing an Eclipse

Total Eclipse

by Sugarray77

Beneath the sun, beneath the moon
eclipsing fades the midday noon.
The dogs are barking at the sight
unending chorus welcomes night.

We're flowing through this twilight trance
the schools are out ~ no risk, no chance.
Expecting total darkness soon;
a creepy, crawly afternoon.

We are experiencing the solar eclipse here in central Virginia and it is a significant phenomenon. I have the special glasses, so I've watched the moon pass over the sun and now it's at its zenith moment here. There is a sense of calm waiting in the neighborhood... the dogs have ceased their barking. A lifetime memory. The pic is from a friend.
