Splendid Spring

More than any other season,
Spring makes everything feel new.
Giving me a hopeful feeling,
as the land starts to renew.

While the trees and grass are greening,
flowers start to bloom and grow.
Minnesota bears awaken,
search for food, with cubs in tow.

There is such a peaceful feeling,
hear the robin red breast sing?
Waterways slip icy bondage,
soothing sounds are what they bring.

Love is in the air in Springtime,
mine was found some years ago.
I recall Spring was the season,
met him, and our love would grow.

Summer, Winter, Fall are lovely,
offering their different charms.
Spring though brings a special feeling,
every day its charms disarm.

I'm much happier in Springtime
when warm winds begin to blow.
Mother nature's brilliant artwork
certainly puts on a show!
