From Darkness to Freedom: 2

by Shavon Harrington

Yo, in this crazy journey called life, we face pure rage,

Doin' battle, head-on, at every damn stage.

But listen up, my homie, you ain't alone in this mess,

Even when evil's starin', keep your inner light fresh.

Emo exhaustion may weigh heavy on your soul,

Find solace in peace, let your spirit take control.

Acknowledge them shadows tryna cast doubt and fear,

But raise a shout-out to your strength, hold it dear.

Sometimes you feel trapped, locked in that closet tight,

Lost in uncertainty, hidin' your true self from sight.

Take a minute, rediscover who you truly be,

Embrace that vulnerability, your guiding star, see?

Yeah, there are moments when you feel weak, stone-cold,

Fightin' back with rage, stories yet to be told.

But real strength ain't in that anger's disguise,

Drop the blame, let forgiveness harmonize.

Reality got a way of droppin' wisdom, yo,

Showin' what really matters, in moments low.

Let forgiveness and divine promises be your crew,

In their embrace, clarity gonna stick like glue.

Give up them burdens, let God take the lead,

Pray for strength, as life throws challenges at speed.

Embrace resilience, let hope be your steady guide,

Deep in your soul, a flame gon' forever reside.

So, bro, take this wisdom, hold it close, you hear?

When adversity hits, let compassion be clear.

Know you stronger than you ever thought you'd be,

With faith and hustle, your spirit gonna fly free.
