News Or Gossip?

Routine

Here we go again the hype and fizz
a little bit of gossip and a little biz
the biz already reported in yesterday's news
a lot more speculation follows and to give it due
is entertainment in a strange way
with happy, glowing faces on display

Political argy bargy here or elsewhere
damaging reputations why would they care?
reporting political facts is difficult it seems
for those we voted in are honest; yeah, in your dreams
and as for you gentlemen, you are always in the gun
friendship to the respectful unwanted attention for some

Women who need to be noticed in the spotlight of course
how easy it is to flutter your eyes and show little remorse
the society we live in invites disrespect
but the news mavericks are adept
at asking annoying questions to earn their keep
we either get annoyed or follow like sheep

That's it a mild rant for today
until the news beckons on replay
