after love

It convinces you it knows you and pretends to loosen its steady pedestal

thrashing in the rain, it watches.

sometimes, you slip in a puddle and pretend to run ahead of it all  

seen: eerily, knowledgeably

you sense a wrench is near –

of heart, of water

what if there were flowers? Then would you be happy here?
