Tortured Feet

“You stepped on my toes,” shouted Emmy Lou Percy. She shimmied on one leg, clutching a shoe in both hands.
“I’m sorry," said Danny Bates. His cheeks were pink. “Slow dances aren’t my thing.”
Middle Schoolers crowded around the couple.
“The One-legged Mambo. Awesome!” a boy shouted. “Teach us, Emmy!”
