Bitter River/ Fiume Amaro was one of my father's favourite songs. I played it during his service in 2017.
For years, we watched a Greek music show from Greece every Saturday afternoon.
Bitter River
There's a bitter river inside of me
Blood of my wound
but more bitter is the kiss
of your mouth that still hurts me
The beach is long, long is the wave
Anxiety is long, it never goes away
And the tears are falling on my sin
on my pain that you don't know
And you don't know what cold is
What is the night without a moon
And not knowing in what moment
your pain will assault you
