Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Precious moments.

This Day

This day was our day.
We took our last hilltop walk.
Mostly, I carried
you up to our secret place.
In your eyes was a knowing.

Your soft, grey muzzle
nestled close into my neck,
nuzzling soft, warm breath.
Time would soon bring tomorrow,
but time would not take this day.
