10th anniversary surprise
Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich

The Chinese restaurant was bustling. Our parents, celebrating their 10th anniversary, brought all six of us along for dinner.
As the waiter took our orders he asked, "And what would you like, young lady?"
LornaJean, our youngest sister, nervously replied, "Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich, please!"
We all laughed, even the waiter.
Dad shook his head, chuckling. "Well, it's her special night too."
Mom kissed Dad's cheek, whispering, "Here's to many more years of surprises."

This happened when I was 11 years old on the night our parents took us six kids out to dinner on their 10th wedding anniversary at a Chinese restaurant next to Shelly Bay beach in Bermuda.
