The poem of a baby bird I saw in a tree next to the house

Good morning little one

by Brenda Strauser

Good morning little one

So small, so fragile
Soft feathers grow on your head
Your little beak is ready for food
Mama will be back soon

Good morning little one

You have grown since yesterday
Time to rest in your nest
Don't move too close to the edge
Mama will be back soon

Good morning little one

Welcome to the world
Now, your eyes are wide open
You have many feathers
Mama will be back soon

I don't see you little one
An empty nest is all that is there
It was time for you to fly
Now, a new life is sent free
I'll miss you little one

No Rules Poetry Contest contest entry

Picture taken from the tree next to my house. This is the first time I got close enough to take a picture of a baby bird a few days old. It's a little poem about watching a baby robin grow.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
