Flowers reach for the sky

Climbing Flowers

by Pamusart

I watch the flowers climbing high.
They yearn and strain to reach the sky.
I wish so much to be like them,
but, I don't even have a stem.

They sway so gently in the breeze.
At times their pollen makes me sneeze.
I don't think I could do without,
the lovely scents they bring about.

And, as I sit and watch them climb;
I lose all track of space and time.
I've traveled to another place,
where beauty lives and shows her grace.

I want to melt into the soil,
but, my intentions, flowers foil.
They let me look and even touch.
Aside from that, I can't do much.

A climbing bloom I'll never be,
but, flowers are inside of me.
