You spend your life

chasing your dreams

the only thing is

you can’t seem

to find them it seems

What is a dream for one man

might be a nightmare to another

what is hope for one man

might be disillusion to his brother

Some men search for gold

some men search for silver

other men search

until they grow old

for something they

can never hold

I looked for the mountains

but they had crumbled

 to the sea

I reached out

to pick the fruit

but it had all fallen

from the tree

I searched for the plains

so green and wide

but I could not see that far

I looked for the oceans tide

but instead,

I found only a sandbar

Some men find their dreams

they find their victory
and their glory

some men never

find their dreams

because there is

no end to their story
