They did many things.
My Dad's Hands
My dad used his hands to play music by ear.
He played upbeat songs we all liked to hear.
His hands played the accordion
At family reunions and had fun.
His hands drove a tractor on our farm.
He used them to keep winter fires warm.
My dad's hands were used to mow our yard.
He milked some cows which was not hard.
My dad's hands pulled garden weeds.
He used them to plant vegetable seeds.
Hours were spent to make each row neat.
His hands drove a tractor in the heat.
His hands were used to hold a phone.
They lifted hay bales, in our barn they were thrown.
My dad's hands were used to shovel snow.
He was a hard-working man I know.
