Grinning at a Snake

by Sugarray77

I'm grinning at a little snake,
who nearing death decides to take
a twist, a turn, a bend, a tweak
around a long protruding beak.

Frustration fills the entrapped bird;
he's hindered ~ stopped ~ says not a word,
and as the snake says last goodbyes,
he's laughing into angry eyes.

The incensed crane is so confused,
he feels affronted and misused...
then, as the snake goes through death's door,
he traps the fiend forevermore.

I just had to comment on this ~ through poetry. What a dilemma!
