He's Calling Me

Where'd that soft voice come from?

Did someone speak to me?

I look around, I misheard, I'm sure,

there's no one here but me.

I hear that voice again,

it's calling out my name.

I swear there's no one else around,

who is playing games?

There it is again,

God is listening to me.

I hear you now, my Lord.

What do you want from me?

What is it that I'm here for?

What am I being called to do?

I'm ready to serve you, Almighty Lord.

What can I do for you?

You won't ever let me down,

nor put me to the test.

Make me go beyond my limits

because you know me best.

You're not finished with me yet,

there's another job for me.

One that I've been put on Earth to

carry out and oversee.

I'll gladly do this for you

and continue to do good deeds.

I'll see it through thick or thin

and give you whatever you need.

When God whispers my name,

I listen to what He says.

I'll faithfully continue His work

for the rest of my living days.
