A poem

Personal prayer.

by royowen

I wish my muse would let me rest,
lest I'm filled with vim and zest.
And yet He owns me heart and soul,
because He cleansed me, made whole.

My heart within me burns like fire,
with grace my passion, my desire.
Lord, I ask these days on Earth,
anoint with grace, its length, its girth.

I will not rest from toil and tears,
I pray You quell man's rage and fears.
I know these conflicts must be fought
for just this purpose I was bought.

I've captured grace with all its care,
as loving's garment I must wear.
I think upi Father for my birth.
'cause deep within in Christ I've worth.
