All year long...
I Think Of You
I think of you when springtime rolls around,
when everything comes up warm, fresh, and green.
Though beautiful, it fails to astound,
compared to you, the loveliest I've seen.
I think of you on summer's lazy days,
the bluebells I once picked you, matched your eyes.
Not quite though, for they lighted in such ways,
that they inspired envy from blue skies.
I think of you when autumn takes its turn,
a burnished landscape sets the world on fire.
The heart that beats inside me starts to burn,
for all my thoughts of you fuel my desire.
I think of you when winter takes the stage,
the snowy brisk winds make me feel alive.
Though dark clouds gathered, soon a storm would rage,
recalling your warmth always helped me thrive.
My memories of you won't let love end,
though you have left, and with you went my heart.
Each season comes around and I pretend,
you love me still, so I don't fall apart.
