The Genesee River killer
His real name was Richard Miller
He terrorized the city of Watertown
Dressed up like a gaudy clown

He liked to play hide and seek
Nothing more than a pedophile geek
Into the night he would run
Telling the children, let's have some fun

They followed him without a care
Parents would look and just find hair
Children were soon afraid of him
They would often hide in the gym

The police were soon on his trail
He'd run, no money for bail
He eventually ran out of luck
Off to jail, he knew it would suck

Fellow prisoners don't like pedophiles
Cornered him in the shower for awhile
A tale he would never tell
They all said he just kind of fell

Parts of this story are true. There was a Genesee River killer while I was growing up in Watertown N.Y. His prime targets were children ten years and younger. He started his crime spree in 1972 and I was 10 years old at the time.

Most of this story is a figment of my imagination.
