My Belief

Faith Poetry Contest Winner 
 
In busy times or quiet nighttime glow
I feel His presence in my eternal soul
No ornate churches, just honest reflection
No ministers needed to make a connection
 
In blowing leaves and flowing streams
He is there in my prayerful dreams
No need for rituals with expensive gowns
I know He’s here in nature’s artful sounds
 
The vast expanse of the heavenly skies
The birds' sweet songs, and babies’ cries
These are my proof of my fervent prayers
Don’t need ministers as an intervening layer
 
His guidance, my cherished lead
God’s love is my faithful creed
