A Dark Club Poem
Graveyard Kisses
by Dklrdmcches
Shimmering moonlight cuts through the dark mist.
Snapping twigs could be heard in the distance. Panic overwhelms the soul, but not the heart. My love, I am on my way to give you one last hug. As I pass tortured tombstones that have not stood the Test of time, I wonder what kind of Hell really exists. Glancing to my right, I catch a lover yearning for a touch. My love, I am on my way to give you one last whisper of truth. Howling wolves watch as the distant Earth bound beings Stroll the muddy grounds of those who have moved on. Dreaming of holding you and loving you once more gives Me the motivation to endure this clique that they call life. Twenty-five years have passed and yet, the pain is still vibrant. A slithering reptile coils around my leg as I fall before you. Touching the soil that bathes you in the warmth you deserve, I take one last breath before I grant you Graveyard Kisses. |
