A rondeau
In Everleigh
by Peter@Poole
In Everleigh it had just snowed,
Which shining on the roof tops showed And children played with shouts of glee, Threw snowballs, laughing, joy to see, And I laughed too; it stirred me so To view the jolly to and fro Of bodies bustling, so carefree, In Everleigh. Till ice had melted from the road, And vehicles were then allowed To pass unhindered finally, And leave the snow to kids and me, In Everleigh. |
