Eye Piece

from sunshine, something sad draws shade
deep reflection sinks ocean
swimming windows of soul

life preserver empathetic protection
drifts toward savior first sight of grace
drowning self sacrifice as if righteous

sometime come before, so long known
twin sibling too close for comfort
more than familiar friends of failure

effort unbearable to breach surface
breath of life exhausted wastes
frost bitten twice shy castaway

this time dances on waves
easy as a Roy Orbison serenade
seems strange to be so beautiful

deep reflection sinks ocean
swimming windows of soul
something sad draws shade from sunshine
