Senses Over Time

Senses

by bhogg

One day, I was moved by a sunset over Mobile Bay. While beautiful, the sight sense transported me back over time and space.

In the 1960's, I lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Our picture window toward Pikes Peak. At sunset, Mom and I stood at the window.  Not Dad, Brothers or Sister, just us. As the sun set, the angles of the mountain were etched against a darkening sky. As the sun disappeared, the light exploded in seconds of glory.

We held hands. Certainly not cool for a thirteen-year-old boy. A special moment for me.  On a scale, one-hundred.
