Rhyming Poem (HM)

~ The Tooth Fairy ~

by PoemsOfDD

She peeked out the window at all the snow.
“Why hasn’t she come, what’s taking so long?”
asked the small girl confused, eager to know.
"But it’s been two days, something must be wrong.”

Dad smiled then said, “Just be patient and see.
It’s getting late now so hop in your bed."
And before she could ask…"where might she be?”
Dad closed the door saying, “Night sleepy head."

Beneath her pillow the tiny tooth went.
While the ticking clock chimed past the hour nine,
she waited with torch under white sheet tent.
Then through the dim her young eyes saw a sign.

The door yawned opened, moving inch by inch.
Her mind soon racing with questions she had.
She lay like a log not daring to flinch.
Then stunned...she whispered,
 “Why are you here Dad?”
