Happy Halloween

Lighthearted Halloween Poem Contest Winner 
You know that Halloween is near,
when all dark corners cause you fear.
When gravestones pop up in front yards,
a scary haunt is in the cards!
When ghostly hanging sheets surprise,
stares down at you with big black eyes.
When zombies crawl from out the ground,
step closer, hear their moaning sound.
My house, so normal all year round,
will reverberate with spooky sound.
Terrifying screams will play,
the tape recorder hid away.
Just once a year on Halloween night,
I give the neighborhood kids a fright.
It's all in fun and it's all done,
to cause my visitors delight!
So candy awaits and I do too,
in witches garb with cauldron's brew.
Come up and grab yourself a sweet,
tonight's the night for Trick or Treat!
