I wish I could go back in time
when I was young with life sublime.
Start afresh with what I know now.
Avoid mistakes and grief, somehow.

I've screwed up big time,
should have used my head
and taken different routes instead.

In the final lap of life, I see
things could have been much better for me.
Rash choices made, should've upped my game.
I've only got myself to blame.
