A glimpse of another's life in 100 words.
Obsession
by LisaMay
Late one night she glimpsed who he really might be.
Alone in the lavish room, with the curtains flung back and his reflection distorting in the mirrored window, he stood with wine glass in hand. His other hand held a sheet of crisp paper, from which he was reading as he gestured airily. His sensuous, desirable lips formed silent words.
She watched furtively from the shadows in the bushes as she leaned in to his life, imagining the words… imagining his love poem.
He raised his glass to his own reflection, then, with a cruel smile, tore up the paper.
