Temptation Poetry writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt Write a poem any style or length that deals with any aspect of the topic, 'Temptation'. |
The Ultimate Temptation began in the Garden of Eden where Satan tempted Eve to disregard the command of God not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. Adam and Eve both failed to believe God's word and the door was then open to sin, and death by sin. (Romans 5:12) "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin;" and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." All other temptations stem from this first failure to listen to and obey God's word over Satan's temptation not to. Now by believing God's word and believing on His Son, whom He has sent - we can be free from the bondage of sin and by God's Word, we can learn to resist all other temptations. John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
