This work has reached the exceptional level
a Quatern about the Good Old Days

Not Long Ago I Loved to Write

Not long ago I loved to write.
T'was January of this year.
I'd just resolved to start a book
and post each finished chapter here.

The words did flow and all because
not long ago I loved to write.
As this pandemic quickly spread,
I lost my writer's appetite.

Infections and the death rate soared.
Soon we were told to stay inside.
Not long ago I loved to write,
but stuck at home my spirit died.

The Good Ol' Days--was that this year?
Five months have passed; they're out of sight.
My world's so changed I can't believe
not long ago I loved to write.
