'Strolling along the beach, I saw it glinting in the sun, a bottle with a message inside.'

I was on a mission, and I didn't need this distraction. My life wasn't worth anything, and I said my final prayers, coming here to end it.

Curiosity got the best of me and I picked up the bottle. I pulled the note out and read the message inside --

'Please forgive me for what I have done today. Although I appreciate all of you trying to help me, I have decided the world would be a better place without me. I do love all of you, but can't live with this pain any longer.

I looked around and saw what looked like an angel sitting on a rock close by. She's staring at the waves and looks like she's trying to resolve an important question.

She must have felt me staring, turning her head. Our eyes locked, neither of us averting them. I witnessed her lips quiver and maybe the salty air caused her eyes to water. I thought of my love, and what I lost. My tears started to flow again, and so did hers. We broke eye contact, both looking toward the ocean.

I was surprised I was heading towards her. She turned her head...her eyes brightening. I think we were both here for the same reason. Regardless, I believe this is my new answer and just maybe hers too.

Did God hear her prayer, or was it mine?
