I sometimes feel the urge to leave a short comment but cannot spin it out to 150 characters. Why cannot I do this, perhaps for no reward?

And don't, please, simply tell the poet or author what their post is about. They already know that.

And wish them many blessings and say it was an honour etc. That is, do that if you like, but don't use it just to spin things out.
Maybe to make your responses longer, you might suggest improvements, not typos, explain what works and what doesn't etc. I agree some poems are so short it's difficult to do that!

Not sure if you meant "not typos", or to say "NOTE typos". Always point out typos, but study the style and pay attention to the author's country of origin to make sure your correction is indeed an improvement. We all put our foot in our mouth at times, but it's better to provide too much feedback than too little. My general rule is that, unless I am giving out six stars for exceptional work, I don't leave a review unless I have something constructive to offer.

Hi, Sim - you're right. "Not" was a typo itself. Comes of Fanstorying very late at night with a migraine (or something!) coming on. I meant "note".

It can be frustrating to get as far as "Whatever", and then have to think of another 142 characters.

Best at that point just to hit "skip".
