I have not read a Naani poem in some time, with its "expression of one and all". I admired your description of the "tundra" and its desolation, plus the matching picture. Cheers- Joan

I like the play on time with this piece. It gives more meaning to the small moments in our lives. Makes it more intense leading one to slow down for just a second to take stock of the moment they are in.

I like you poem about the fragility of life in such an unbearably cold and desolate place. The artwork is amazing and adds a lot.
For some reason, the image of cold "stalking" didn't quite work for me. Cold doesn't feel to me like a predator who stalks but rather as part of nature that can't help but exist. But that's just me. You liked it and probably a lot of other folks did as well.
Good luck in the contest.

A very well-written Naani about nature that is not measured in years but in moments that last only a whole before they are gone. A perfect picture moment captured to complement your poem.

This naani, Predator, has the proper formatting and uses twenty-five syllables to make the point that life is short, and in some places - here and gone.

Thanks so much, Bill!

Such a gorgeous picture! This is intriguing and thought-provoking that a harsh and challenging environment can affect the passage of time from life in years but in "moments." Best wishes in the contest!

Hello, anonymous,
Excellent entry for the Write a Naani writing prompt contest. It's a new form to me and I love it. I want to try it. Good syllable count and connection between lines. Pretty presentation. Good luck in the contest.

With in this part of the world, it gets so incredibly cold life could be measured in moments. One may not live an entire day. Your poem is very good and the picture besides being a beautiful picture, it also enhances your poem greatly! Good luck with the contest!

This made me cold just reading it. It is a beautiful presentation in its entirety. I like the idea of 'cold stalking', the description of the 'vast, desolated tundra' which links directly to your last two lines. Those last 2 lines made credible the way you described the cold and the tundra.
