This piece struck me when I finished reading it. It is so straight forward and matter of fack. I love the comparison. It shows how everything on this world is truely connected.

That cuts very deep. A great (alas, a sad) message here. Excellent creative imagery and visuals and I loved the presentation and artwork. The Naani form is a good form - this should do extremely well in the contest, good luck in the booths.

Ciao mystery poet.. I gave you your second vote.
Yes our skin dries out and looks all crackled with age
I love the middle verse : severed from the tree of life .. hence slowly we wilt and ultimately when we die in time we turn to dust
A very poetic way to describe ageing , our decline and ending.
Your poem deserves more votes .. I'll keep my fingers crossed

This is a lovely poem. I can almost hear the crunching of the dry leaves as they are becoming like dust under our feet.

This poem is a sad reminder that we are here on earth for just a fleeting moment. I call the subject sad, but this poem is written delicately and beautifully, with very strong imagery. Well done.
