Somehow the variants have arrived in the states. Has this virus arrived in Canada? It has been quite the year....the vaccine will help the spread and also if they contact the variant we don't get as ill.

You explain the situation well, Iza. I agree that it is chaos and so hard to deal with all of the changes, rules, and other requirements. Will our lives ever return to normal? Also, there are those crazies out there who resist every recommendation, rule, etc. without any care to those who are old, sick, etc. They may not like doing what is required but it is to protect those people from them. Thanks for sharing.

I don't understand how we can have heard immunity if everybody is locked in their houses. HMMM, I am not at all in favor of being locked up. We're going to have generations of uneducated children. And the children and wives being locked up with their abusers. Will this every stop?

There will always be someone to sneak in, in Australia, despite quarantining, there is is still some "leakage" and that's the reason, it's your own people returning that brings, they got a good cap on it here, but still the sneaky virus gets out, well done Iza, blessings Roy

Haha. I'm one of them. I do travel to south in winter every year from Minnesota. I hasn't been very cold this year, a little below freezing, 0 C, or 30 F. My son just went to Mexico and I have to cancel our trip because my husband doesn't want to go until we get vaccinated. I prey for its happening very soon.

This virus is getting everyone down, but I'm staying put and doing more writing. Like those people in your piece, I'm a pensioner and get my income regularly, so I've no worries on that score. My sons both have occupations that mean they must continue working. I do worry that they will catch it and tell them to be very careful. We have closed our doors, too, here in the UK. When will we all be able to travel again? It seems ages since we last went anywhere. This was really interesting reading, my friend. Warm hugs, and stay safe. :)) Sandra xxx
