Wilting flowers in a vase10 total reviews

Ciao!
I prefer to admire flowers outside in a garden.
It's a shame many cut and put their garden flowers in a vase (that often is left then without enough water)
In the house one can use dried flowers that are very decorative. And you can use essences to give them scent.

Thank you. I agree with you, however, if you are not lucky enough to have a garden then a flowering pot plant is nice. But it is also nice to receive a bunch of flowers.

It?s okay to receive a bunch of flowers if it s only a yearly event .. otherwise your suggestion of a pot plant is by far preferable.
Ciao!

Leaving our cut flowers in stagnant water is cruel when we have access to clean water and as you say it is just neglect, be we are the losers as the flowers don't stay fresh for long, love Dolly x

Thank you, and yes they don't last that long, but deserve attention during their shortened life. They give so much pleasure.

What a great idea for this theme. Your few words paint such a sad picture in my mind! I have seen a few empty vases in my time and feel so sorry for the flowers! Nice piece.

This 3-7-5, Wasted Beauty, has the right set up and creates a scene of beauty ignored and the resulting diminishing of its glory.

Good play on words in your satori.
Your poem is short, succinct and descriptive. Good syllables count and connection between lines. Good imagery.

It is a waste and many don't appreciate them, I suppose. I water and care for mine. It's a daily pleasure to have even the smallest bloom in my house.
Sending you my best today as always, and best regards for the upcoming contest,
Sally :))

Thanks Sally. It is a waste not to.

Your poem brought forth a vivid image of neglected beauty. I agree. Why bother to cut flowers and put them in a vase if you're just going to let them wilt. Sadly, so many do the same thing with children. Good luck in the contest.

You are welcome.

Your poem does speak of wasted beauty but it also speaks of neglect. If anything worthwhile is to be maintained, observation and effort need to be on-going. Well written. Good wishes for your entry in the contest.

I can certainly see the wilted flowers in a crystal vase. One wonders why the neglect. Flowers, especially if they have been given as a gift, are wonderful to receive and lovely to look at. Well done.
Have a blessed evening.

I agree, if one puts flowers in a vase, then take care of them. Your contest entry is in good form. Your syllable count is correct per line. I enjoyed reading your descriptive words.
Best wishes in the contest.
Respectfully, Jan
