You picked a really outstanding picture and wrote a very nice Naani poem to go with it. However, I question the phrase "knew their place" which has always been used for those who weren't white and Protestant. Could you consider using "value" or something else besides "place"?

Knew their place , means that the American Indians knew that Mother Nature can live without us
While MANKIND can not..
Still today our leaders are arrogant and think they can live as they please exploiting Mother Nature.
Mother Nature rules not US.
My message has nothing to do with any creed.
Did you take the time to read my notes snd check out the videos ?
The message is clear
Our place is definitely less when compared to Mother Nature

How about this edit :
White Man called them savages
yet they held a deep reverence
for Mother Nature cause they knew she ruled.
-
Much better. They don't call her mother nature but it fits with their religious philsophy. Even white men gave the name "Great Spirit" to their beliefs because they did not understand their oneness of man and nature and the creator.
-
Okay ..
do you think I should change Mother Nature to Great Spirit ?
the syllable count still would fit.
-
Mother Nature is actually closer to their sense of life as part of the whole. You have it best as you did it.
-
Thank you for your help ..
I hope you have a nice week !
You have a cute pooch in your avatar !
Ciao!

Yes they do but their God should be the Heavenly God. I am native American and its on my fathers side. His parents were from America. I love America. Thank you for sharing good luck

My message has nothing to dowith any creed..
What I am trying to say is that American Indians understood that without Mother Nature mankind will not survive ..something our leader have not yet understood or are not willing to acknowledge.
I thought that was clear .. did you check out my notes snd vids?
-
Im so sorry. I should had paid more attention.
-
Sorry for snapping .. you have a point .. my message should be clear in the poem without having need to read my notes ..
I edited the poem but I?m not happy ..
I need more syllables which I don?t have and I have lost interest ..
-
you will do well. We all get where we don't feel any sence writing. You had a lovely write up. Take care and do not put yourself down. You are doing well.
-
Thanks you the encouragement.. I hope you liked the videos .. beautiful yet alarming and our leaders hesitate and are wasting time.
we are leaving in heritage a dying planet but Mother Nature is rearing her head up snd fighting back ..
